Charlotte was born in Paterson, NJ to Jean Giannone O’Donnell on August 14, 1944. She went to school at Eastside High School, Paterson. She married the love of her life, Charles Newbury, Sr on March 3, 1962 in St Anthony of Padua Church, Paterson, NJ. Charlotte was a mom first and worked part-time as her children grew. She was reunited with her sister, Kathy in 1985 and they have been best friends ever since. Charlotte moved to Florida in 1989 with her husband, Charles for a construction project in Miami. After working together on that job, Charlotte and Charles decided to make Florida their permanent home and they moved to Sheridan Ocean Club where she made many lifelong friends. Charlotte then found work as the Office Manager for Alternative Medicine, Fort Lauderdale where she adopted a homeopathic way of life under the teachings of Dr. Gary Synder for over 20 years. Charlotte was always very involved in her church, Saint Sebastian of Fort Lauderdale where she volunteered tirelessly and was the parish seamstress for years. She always made sure Monsignor Jim's pants were hemmed to avoid a calamity. She was also very involved with her neighborhood association at Sheridan Ocean Club.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her mother Jean, her husband Charles Sr. and her son, Charles Jr. and her grandparents Rose and Angelo Giannone.
Charlotte is survived by her daughter Sally Balioni and son-in-law Rob, Manasquan, NJ, sister Kathy Reynolds and husband John, Jensen Beach, FL, sister-in-law Judy Newbury, Manasquan, NJ, daughter-in-law Lynn Newbury, Fair Haven, NJ and grandchildren Charles and Molly Newbury, Robert and Jenna Balioni and numerous nieces and nephews.
