Dear Diane, Henry, Susan and Richard,

Our deepest sympathy to all of you.  Your mom was a beautiful lady,  inside and out, who I will always remember for that lovely smile.  I will always recall when I was a kid and used to deliver the Montreal Star, then later the Gazette, always saving delivery to the Gagnon house for last, as when I would get to Mrs. Gagnon's house, she would invite me in to visit with Diane.  My brother Lorne also asked me to share a special memory on his behalf as he is not on internet.  It was Lorne's first day of starting at Loyola High School.  He was having trouble doing up his tie and our mom was out on an errand at the time, so the first thing he thought of was going over to Henry's house  to ask Henry's mom if she  would mind giving him a hand with his tie, cutting across yards from O'Brien, over to Lavigne Street.  When he got to Mrs. Gagnon's house  she was more than happy and pleased to help him out.  Mrs. Gagnon was everyone's honorary mom, a first class lady, the epitome of elegance and grace.  She will be greatly missed and forever remembered as a dear friend, neighbor, Mom to all.  RIP Mrs. Gagnon, and we know you are certainly watching over all your family and loved ones.   Love from all the Tierney family.

Condolences to all of you, Henry, Richard, Susan and Diane. Your mom, always Mrs. Gagnon to me, was a very special person. She was understanding, patient and had a great sense of humor. That your parents put up with us noisy, rowdy teens consumed with the slot car track you built in the attic is testimony. She contributed to not only allowing us to enjoy ourselves but to growing our own relationships based on camaraderie and character. Mrs. Gagnon to me was the one adult I could believe, trust and admire because she gave of herself. It was as you put it never about her, it was what she could do for you. I will continue to think of her often. You were blessed with a wonderful woman. Thanks for sharing.

Dear Henry & Family,
My deepest sympathy to you and your family. I am so sorry to hear about this very sad news.  I always remember going to your house when I was  a teenager, the best part of the visit was not just seeing my good buddies but seeing your mother . I really enjoyed talking to her  she made me feel so welcome.  Your mom filled the room with joy . I am not in Canada but will be in Montreal between May 22-29 . I would really like to get together if that is possible.
My only advice I can offer during this difficult time is remember the good times  and take 1 day at a time  .
