Ruth C Merrill

She was the President of her Sorority, Beta Sigma Phi, wife of a Korean War Veteran, J.D. Merrill, a long time active member of the Florida Strawberry Festival serving as the Director of Guest Services for many years, and was also a Lady Elk. Though she will be remembered for many things, the most important to her was being Meemaw.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, J.D. Merrill and her daughter, Kathryn Jones. She is survived by her son; Allen Merrill and wife Cindy, five grandchildren; Tiffany, Kyndal, A.J., Summer, and Sarah; and nine great-grandchildren; Hailee, Aviana, Brooklyn, Jose Jr., Laynee, Taylor, Keegan, Kyslynn, and Lane.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, September 27, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at Wells Memorial Funeral Home, 1903 West Reynolds Street, Plant City, FL 33563, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m.

Interment will take place at Mt. Enon Cemetery, Plant City, Florida.
