Linda Jane Lindsey, age 73, passed away peacefully on January 20, 2020 in Lakeland, FL. Born in Vinita Oklahoma on November 30, 1946 she was one of 16 children of Richard and Wilma Dunbar. Preceded in death by: first husband Howard Junior Johnson in 1971 after 6 years of marriage, and second husband Gary Dwight Lindsey in 2005 after 33 years of marriage and son Howard Dwayne Johnson in 2017.
Linda was loved by all for her kind, loving and generous spirit and heart of gold that would help anyone, anytime they needed. Her children would flock home to enjoy her fried chicken, rice and gravy! She loved to watch Days of Our Lives and Price is Right and everyone knew to leave her alone when it was on.
She is survived by children Karen Johnson, Monty Lindsey, Bryant Johnson, Michael Lindsey, Mallory Lindsey, Shelby Lindsey, Delores Lindsey, Mary Southerland, and Adriana Lindsey; 31 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren. Family and friends will gather Monday, January 27 at 10:00 am at Wells Memorial in Plant City, FL to celebrate her life.
