FLOYD, Lillie Mae, age 87 of Plant City, FL passed away on Wednesday, September 17, 2018. She was born in Plymouth, FL on December 19, 1930 to James Sherman Gilbreath an Martha Ann (Hayes) Glbreath. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend.
Mom passed away at 9:45 at her daughters home, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Plymouth Florida to Sherman and Martha Gilbreath, the first girl after seven boys.
She was a loving mother of four, three daughters and one son. She was devoted to her children, family, friends and church. She loved life. She loved living and socializing with all she met. She was always involved in every family function, senior park activities and church functions. It was rare she missed a gathering of any kind. She graduated from nursing school in Bainbridge, Georgia in 1984, and was employed with Helping Hands Home Care Inc. She moved back to Florida in the early 90's to be with her family.
At the age of 77 she began a new journey, fulfilling her dream of going to Bible College. On June 10, 2011 at age 81, She graduated from the Pentecostal Bible Institution with honors. She was never idol, everyday she was living her life to the fullest. She was our Family Historian.
She is survived by daughter Bonnie Hampton, husband Tommy, son Charlie Floyd, wife Bonnie,
two sisters Mattie McDaniel Mullins and Dessie Lee, one brother Larry Gilbreath, wife Nancy,
five grandchildren: Shawnia, Arnie, Jerry, Teresa husband Joe, Krystin, Celisse Yates Barret, husband Jason, two great grandchildren Marley and Lucas.
I am forever grateful for you, Mom.
You held my hand through all my life,
found patience and understanding when we made wrong choices, praised us in all life’s moments of success and taught us how to give to others from our heart.
You never gave up on us, never walked away from us. You always made us feel special.
Thank you Mom for loving us so much and for giving us the best of you “Always”
I will never live a day of my life without missing you and being grateful.

Visitation with family and friends will be 12 pm to 1 pm on Monday, September 24, 2018 at Full Gospel Tabernacle of Plant City. Funeral services will begin at 1 pm with Pastor Tommy Hampton officiating.
Burial will follow services at Oaklawn Cemetery West in Plant City.
