Edna Mae Abbott

Edna retired from Hillsborough County Schools. She was of the Baptist faith, and for many years attended Dover First Baptist and Mango First Baptist. She loved the Bucs. She loved vegetable gardening and growing roses. She loved being home and raising her children and caring for her family. She loved to fish, and always caught more than anyone. She never spoke a bad word about anyone.

She was preceded in death by her husband James in 1995 and her sons Homer and Shannon. Survivors include five sons: Bruce Abbott (Pam), Teddy Abbott, Donald Abbott, Terry Abbott, and Curtis Abbott (Altha); one daughter, Rebecca Tacket (Billy); 15 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation with family and friends will be 10 am to 11 am on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at Wells Memorial and Event Center. A funeral service will be at 11 am at Wells Memorial. Burial will follow at 2 pm at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL
