Amanda was born on February 18th, 1978 in Vandenberg AFB (Lompoc), CA. to Gavin and Betty (Burrill) Woolever.
After her father retired from the Air Force in 1993 her family came to live in Plant City Florida when she was 13 years old. Amanda graduated from Plant City High School and went on to achieve an associate’s degree in nursing from Hillsborough Community College.
On March 2, 2002 she married Carlos Daniel (Danny) Schindler. They raised 3 sons, Christopher Watson, Aaron and Kyle Schindler, and 2 daughters, Emily and Alexandra Schindler, and 3 foster children, Kenneth, Jabari, and Olbin Barefoot.
Amanda had many loves and passions. She was very passionate about raising her family. Amanda was the preschool director and active member at the Plant City United Pentecostal Church and Faith Christian Academy where her children attended. She was at all the children’s sporting events, and became a coach for her daughters cheer leading team, the Dover Patriots. To continue to be close to her family she would run her home crafting business, Blondie's creations, and would customize their school uniforms. Amanda was a very giving person who always had a smile and wanted to help anyone she met.
Amanda was preceded in death by her grandparents, Robert and Helen (Gemeinhardt) Woolever, and Jay and Erinistine (Duby) Burrill. She is survived by her husband Danny, 5 children, Christopher, Aaron, Emily, Alexandra, Kyle, 3 foster children Kenneth, Jabarie, and Oblin Barefoot, her father and mother Gavin and Betty Woolever and her brother Craig and wife Lela Woolever, Bobbie Jean (Schindler) and Brian Dilts, Robert Lee and Tonya Schindler and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 2, 2021 at Plant City United Pentecostal Church 1202 South Collins Street, Plant City, Florida. Visitation Time 10:00 a.m., Service Time 11:00 a.m., Graveside service to follow at Plant City Cemetery, section Garden of Peace. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made payable to The Schindler Family and mailed to: Schindler Family, c/o Wells Memorial Funeral Home, 1903 W. Reynolds Street, Plant City, FL 33563. Wells will forward all mail on to the family.
