Steven Joseph Almanza (AKA - Steve, Steven, Stevie, Steve-a-rino, Babe, and a number of other loving terms of endearment) 28, of Plano, Texas, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 13, 2019. He left this earth much too soon but the Lord has welcomed him to his Heavenly home.
Born on October 20, 1990, in Maplewood, Minnesota, to Craig and Jacqueline (McLain) Almanza, Steven was destined for greatness. He was a 2009 graduate of Horizon High School in Scottsdale, Arizona. Steven went on to attend Lewis University in Romeoville, Illinois where he played College Baseball and studied Finance, then went on to earn his Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Middle Tennessee State University. He was currently enjoying his career as a Financial Advisor with Fisher Investments in Dallas, TX where he sincerely cared for his clients and his co-workers quickly became trusted associates and friends. His drive to succeed allowed him to set new company records, which he was proud of, yet humble.
In his free time, Steven was very active. He was committed to a healthy lifestyle and taking care of himself. He was athletic his entire life and enjoyed baseball, camping, walking his dogs, hiking, fishing and, most recently, pickle ball. Steven also enjoyed traveling and gourmet cooking.
From a young age, Steven cared for others and had a zest for life. He wanted the best for others and found joy in helping them accomplish their goals. He will be remembered for being kind, loving, dedicated, and unselfish. Steven’s love for his family ran deep and he was looking forward to living life with his soon-to-be Bride, Jenny. When he met Jenny, Steven’s world changed. They were truly a match made in heaven, and Steven was devoted to Jenny in all that he did. He lived and breathed for this girl, who swept him off his feet. Steven will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.
Steven was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, June Logue. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, parents, Craig & Jacqueline Almanza of Gallatin, TN; Fiancée, Jenny Paine of Plano, TX, Sister & Brother-in-law, Autumn Almanza & Alexander Golston of Sweet Home, OR; Brother, Kevin Almanza & future Sister-in-law Whitney Smith of San Francisco, CA; Grandparents, Betty & John McLain of Bethpage, TN; future Mother and Father–in-law Stephen & Brenda Paine of Holly Lake, TX; a multitude of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends; and his dearest K9 companions, Oden, Luka, and Max.
