Kenneth Charles Goddard

Kenneth Charles Goddard, age 93 passed away in Olathe, KS on Friday, January 20, 2023. He is survived by his son, Scot Goddard (Carolyn) of Spring Hill, KS; granddaughter, Peyton Goddard of Olathe, KS; daughter-in-law, Carol Goddard of Plano, TX; sister, Joann Heise of Rhinelander, WI; and sister Beverly Gabor of Washburn, WI. He is preceded in death by his wife, Leona Goddard, daughters, Cindy & Lori Goddard, son Gene Goddard, parents, 5 sisters and 2 brothers.

Kenneth Charles was born on October 19, 1929 to George & Minnie Goddard in Esmond, SD. Ken met the love of his life, Leona (Lee) Anderson in Rhinelander WI. They married on June 10, 1950 and was married for 57 years until Lee’s death in 2007.

Ken served 21 years in the U.S. Army and the National Guard. Throughout his career, he operated several computer centers for St. Regis and Champion Paper Company. He and Lee were charter members of Resurrection Lutheran Church in Plano TX. He was an avid golfer and loved hunting and fishing. He loved traveling with his wife, attending family reunions and spending time with his granddaughter.

Ken was a kind and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He never met a stranger and always had a funny story to tell. He was loved by everyone whoever knew him. He will be missed by all of his family and friends.

A visitation will be held, Monday, February 6, 2023 at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 1919 Independence Dr., Plano, TX, from 10:00 - 11:00 am with Funeral at 11:00 am at the church and Internment following at Plano Mutual Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Resurrection Lutheran Church, Plano, TX.
