Gerald Robert Griswold of Plano, Texas passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 3, 2017.
A Korean War veteran, Jerry was a small business owner.
Following his retirement, Jerry drove Special Education buses for The Plano Independent School District.
Jerry completed the White Rock Marathon four times and the Houston Marathon once.
He is predeceased by his parents Harold and Margaret Griswold and brothers Harold, Jr. and Richard Griswold.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Carmella Griswold and their children, Donald Griswold, Carolyn Linscott and her husband Trent Linscott and David Griswold. He is also survived by a brother Dave Griswold, and grandchildren, Joshua and Aaron Linscott, Ellen and Ava Griswold, David and Anthony Griswold and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Jerry will be held at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church in Plano on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at 9:30 AM. Memorial donations may be made in Jerry’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
