Mom was the light of our family. Loved her family and adored her great-grandkids, Haley and Jake. We will miss her terribly.
Some of the things Mom loved were her Cheerios, she could eat a bowl for every meal. Dinner was around the Wheel of Fortune telling the contantants what letter to pick next. Most of the time they listened to her! She had a real sweet tooth for cookies and cakes. Hamburgers was her favorite thing to get when we went out. Enjoyed riding in the car, so when we went somewhere, I would drive around awhile. Going to get a bit to eat 5 minutes away would turn into an hour just so she could ride around. Could work on her connect a word puzzles for hours. Always made sure she had her hair just right, eyebrows on and lipstick the first thing when she got up with checks during the day. Loved sitting outside watching the birds, cars and planes. She would worry about the birds when they flew around saying they were looking for a place to sleep that night. Was a Texas Ranger fan and kept up with them. Would give them the "what to" when they made a mistake to do better. Loved going to Haley's soccer games. Would cheer her on and watch that Number 5 running around the field. So proud of her and always said how great she played the game.
Mom was kind hearted and showed her love in so many ways. We had a great roll model to live by. Always the life of our gatherings bringing laughter and joy in everything she did. Loved baking cookies when we visited for the grandkids and great-grandkids. She was close to her grandkids, Renee and Jason, that were such a major part of her life. They loved their "Meme" as she loved them. Mom was with me for over 3 years - there are no words that can express how much I will miss her and all the things she loved and her companionship. She was an outstanding Mom and will be missed dearly.
God has taken her to join him and her Mother and sister, Lillian and her brother-in-law, Edmund. She called her Mother's name so we knew she was preparing her journey Home. We know she is in a better place - enjoying the light of the Lord.
