Donna L. Powers Hickey

Donna Powers Hickey, age 64, passed away on May 9, 2010 in Plano, TX. She was born on January 16, 1946 in Rochester, NY to Donald and Norma Powers. She is survived by her loving husband John M. Hickey; children, Jill Hickey Burke and husband James, John D. Hickey and wife Samone, Shannon Hickey Flores and husband Martin and Alexandra Hickey; grandchildren, Erin and Eden Burke, Taylor and Braeden Hickey and John Dolan Hickey-Flores; brothers, Lee Potter and wife Heather, Mark Potter and wife Sue. Donna graduated East High School in 1963 and a few months later she married John. They moved to California in 1969 and then moved to Plano in 1978, where they have resided for the last 32 years. Donna loved animals, the outdoors and health and fitness. She was diagnosed with Scleroderma Disease and she fought this illness for 10 years. Donna will be dearly missed by her loving family and friends. Visitation will be held at Ted Dickey Funeral Home on Thursday, May 13, 2010 from 7:00-9:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church on Friday, May 14, 2010 at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Plano Mutual Cemetery. Memorials may be made to ASPCA.org.
