Donald was born in Montreal, Quebec to Geraldine and Daniel. He was an only child. During his early years he was raised by his mother while his father served as a wing commander in the Canadian Air force stationed in England during World War II
He grew up loving sports and entered the work force as a purchasing agent in the structural steel business. He moved his family to Vancouver in 1964 and in 1973 was the owner/operator of the Tsawwassen Lite Centre. He loved to travel and was an active member of the Tsawwassen Alliance church. His heart was with the young people and for several years organized a winter ski weekend for the youth group to both Whistler and Mt. Baker.
In 2000, he re-located to Texas, he remained devoted to his family and divided his time between Aldergrove and Dallas. He played an integral part in raising his grand children in Dallas.
He is survived by his son David (Geetha Ram), Nick and Maya; his daughter Karen Tombe (Allan), Noah and Tyson; and his son Larry (Elviera).
