Dolores Elvera Van Ryn

June 17, 1950 - December 25, 2022

Dolores Van Ryn, loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, passed away from complications of Covid-19 on December 25, 2022 at the age of 72.

She was born in Oakland, CA to adoring parents, Felix and Dolores Medina. After graduating from Newark High School in 1968 she lived and worked in the Bay Area until her retirement when she moved to Frisco, Texas to be closer to her daughter and grandson.

Dolores enjoyed spending time with her family and relished family photographs. She developed a special talent of digitizing family photo albums and digitally restoring photos creating a collection that will be treasured for generations to come.

She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Ronald Van Ryn; daughter and son-in-law Danell and Jeff Manchee; grandson, Joshua Manchee; brother, John Medina; brother and sister-in-law, Felix and Maureen Medina; sister, Donna Souza; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews all of whom she loved very much. Dolores is predeceased by her parents.

Her legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of all those who knew her and were touched by her. She leaves us rich in memories and will be missed.

An outdoor memorial service will be held at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 26320 Mission Blvd, Hayward, CA on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at 11:30am. All are welcome to attend.
