Dr. David Ronnie Ronald Evans

Dr. David Ronald “Ronnie” Evans, of Plano, Texas, passed away on December 6, 2013 at the age of 68. He was born February 8, 1945 in Dallas, Texas to C.C. and Geneva (Couch) Evans. Dr. Evans graduated from Plano High School in 1963 and obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree at North Texas State University, presently known as UNT.

He attended medical school at Des Moines School of Osteopathy and graduated in 1971. Dr. Evans was in private family medical practice until he joined the United States Navy in January of 1976. During his tenure in the Navy he became a diagnostic radiologist. He received an honorable discharge from the Navy in May of 1985. Afterward he served as a radiologist in Port Arthur, Carrizo Springs, San Antonio and became a locum tenens throughout south Texas and Dallas until his retirement in 2001.

Dr. Evans is survived by his only child, Heather Patty and husband, Steve, of Van Alstyne, Texas; sister Sandra Wallace of Sanger, Texas; grandsons Carter, Samuel and Noah Patty; niece Angie Sullivan and husband Robert; nephews Seth Wallace and wife Ann Locklin, and Dane Wallace, and other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, C.C. and Geneva Evans and brother, Gary Evans.
