Shirley was a member of Living Faith Christian Church (formerly Wantagh Baptist Church) where she was a member of the choir and soloist, blessing many with her beautiful voice. She was a proud and patriotic member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She enjoyed crocheting all different items for family and friends and she was definitely quick as a whip when completing a project. Those who had the privilege of owning a blanket crocheted by Shirley can remember her talent and kind heart by wrapping themselves in her love. She will be sorely missed by all.
Visitation Wednesday February, 22, 2023 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Vernon C. Wagner Funeral Homes, located at 655 Old Country Road, Plainview, NY 11803. A Funeral Service will occur at the funeral home Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at 8:00 PM, led by Brendan O'Connor. Shirley will be laid to rest in Calverton National Cemetery, 210 Princeton Blvd, Calverton, New York 11933.
