Josephine was a woman of incredible warmth, compassion, and kindness, always putting others before herself. A devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, her legacy of love will live on in the hearts of her family. She was a great cook, known for preparing meals that brought family and friends together, and she had a special gift for making everyone feel welcome and cherished.
A passionate player of the card game Left, Right, and Center, Josephine was a multi-champion who enjoyed the camaraderie of friends and family. Her faith was a central part of her life, and she was a devout believer, finding comfort and strength in her religious beliefs. Josephine also had a love for music and dancing, always ready to celebrate life with a song and a joyful spirit.
A true fan of the Hallmark Channel, Josephine’s love for its movies was boundless, especially during the holiday season. It was not uncommon for her to enjoy Hallmark’s Christmas movies in the middle of summer, always finding joy in the warmth they brought.
Josephine is survived by her two loving daughters, Victoria Rotolo and Anne (Larry) Gleit; her cherished grandchildren, Stephanie (Kyle), Renee (Clay), Alison (Alex), Dylan (Tiana), and Steven (Sean); and her great-grandchildren, Olive and Geordy, who brought her immeasurable joy.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Josephine’s life at a Funeral Mass to be held at St. Pius X Church in Plainview on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Calverton National Cemetery.
