Dale Lesley Madsen, 68, of Camino, California, died unexpectedly on November 27, 2017. Mr. Madsen, born March 11, 1949 to Lesley and Dorothy (Korman) Madsen of Westhope, North Dakota, was reared for a short period of time in that area until he relocated with his parents to California in 1951 where he resided in Marin County intermittently until 1990. Mr. Madsen was a 1967 graduate of Novato High School in Marin County. Dale also became a member of the Novato Presbyterian Church at a young age. Following his early retirement in 1999, he became a resident of El Dorado County in June 2000.
Dale was a loyal family member and friend. He enjoyed a career spanning over 35 years with a U.S. Government non-appropriated fund agency, the Army and Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES), which took him to extensive assignment locations within the United States and Germany where he served as a human resources management official and executive. He thrived in helping people from all walks of life and staying in close contact with many family members residing throughout the U.S. Dale will best be remembered for his love of people and respect of the human soul.
Dale was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Niels-Christian and Jensine Madsen; maternal grandparents, Walter and Mamie Korman; his father, Les in 1984, and mother, Dorothy in 2002, both of Camino. He is survived by two nieces, one nephew, and five great-nephews.
