Ruth Ann Young

Ruth Ann (Hart) Young passed away on July 28th 2023 surrounded by her loving family at the age of 77. She was predeceased by her parents Thomas Hart & Mildred (Armstrong) Hart her beloved husband of 33 years Bernard Young. Brother Bill Hart (Linda). and step-son Michael Young.

Ruth Ann was a proud Nurse for over 50 years. She started as an LPN and continued her education becoming a registered nurse. She went on to receive her master degree at the age of 57 from La Roche University. She established a career at the VA Hospital until she retired. After retiring, She enjoyed selling and buying at local flea markets, traveling, & attending mass Saturday & Sunday with her Daughter Peggy. She loved spending time with her children, her grandchildren & great grandchildren. Most importantly, Ruth Ann will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be truly missed.

Ruth Ann is survived by her children Peggy Haslett, William (Billy) McKee & Kathy Mckee; stepchildren Kelly Young, and Erin Engelhard. 14 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren. Brother Thomas Hart (Patricia), Sister Shirley Hanley. Sister in law Rosalie Watson. best friend of 57 years Cherrie Whippenbeck. Godmother of Thomas Hart. and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Friends are invited to the H.P. Brandt Funeral Home 1032 Perry Hwy Pittsburgh PA 15237 on August 2, 2023 from 4PM to 8PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday August 3, 2023 at St. Ursula Church 3937 Kirk Ave., Allison Park , PA 15101 at 10AM. PLEASE MEET AT THE CHURCH Burial immediately following at the Cemetery of the Alleghenies 1158 Morgan Road., Bridgeville PA 15017
