Richard O. Snow, age 82 of the Pointe at Adams Ridge, formerly of Ross Twp., passed away on Sunday, February 24, 2013. He was the beloved husband for 51 years of the late Betty C. (Childress) Snow. Loving father of Kimberly (Russ) Gibson of Wexford, Kathy (Jim) Williams of McCandless and Cindy (Peter) Samuelson of Alexandria, Va.; cherished grandfather of Kate and Luke Gibson, Jennifer and Greg Williams and Andrew, Kristen and Ian Samuelson. He was also survived by his dear friend, Jan MacPhail. Prior to his retirement he was employed as an Administrative Manager for Alcoa. Dick was a 45 year member of Ingomar United Methodist Church where he was a 25 year Sunday School Teacher, longtime Head Usher, was a member of the M&M Small Group, participated in their bowling league, and volunteered at the New Hope U.M. Soup Kitchen, Global Links and World Vision. He was a passionate alumni of Grove City College, Class of 1954, where he was a member of Epsilon Pi Fraternity; he also played football and was a “60 Minute Offensive and Defensive Bulwark.” At the Pointe at Adams Ridge, Dick was King of the Thursday Night Corn Toss Group and was a member of the One Man and Ladies Card Club. Dick was also an avid golfer, world traveler and was a proud graduate of New Castle High School where he walked to school “up hill both ways.” To his friends and family he was larger than life. Friends will be received on Thursday from 7-9pm and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9pm in the H.P. Brandt Funeral Home, Inc., 1032 Perry Hwy, Ross Twp, 412-364-4444. A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11am in the Ingomar United Methodist Church (EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to either Grove City College, 100 Campus Dr., Grove City, Pa 16127 or Ingomar United Methodist Church, 1501 W. Ingomar Rd., Pittsburgh, Pa 15237.
