Patricia P. Wilker, age 86, of Butler, Pennsylvania formerly of Ross Twp. PA passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Tuesday, November 1, 2022. Pat was born January 10, 1936 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Pat was the youngest of 8 children to the late Emil and Helen (Mueller) Portman.
She married the late Earl T. Wilker who passed away on August 25, 1984, he was her best friend and lifelong companion. They married on June 30, 1962 at Nativity of Our Lord Parish and were blessed with three daughters: Mary Anne (Jerry) Mendel, Susan (Paul) Rhoderus, and Jennifer (Doug) Smith. She was the best Nana to eight grandchildren; Matthew (Chelsea) Wilker, Jessica (Max) Praniewicz, Nathan Roderus, Erica Mendel, Brenna Smith, Hunter Smith, Justin Mendel, Peyton Smith, and great grandson Emerson James Wilker.
Pat retired from Mellon Bank in Pittsburgh in 2013, and was revered by her colleagues for her hard work.
Throughout the years, Pat hosted gatherings to celebrate holidays, religious ceremonies, milestones, and birthdays, that filled her home with laughter, love, and joy and left her family with endless, sweet, memorable stories.
Pat was an active member of Nativity Parish for numerous years. In her free time, she relished playing cards and board games and kibitzing with her friends and siblings. She shared a love for animals and the time she spent interacting with her daughters and grandchildren.
She preceded in death by her brothers and sisters; Robert Portman, Raymond Portman, Mary Moser, Emil Portman, Betty Portman, Carol Rockey, and Joan Portman.
Pat will be remembered for her devout faith and her fiery spirit that serves to strengthen everyone she met. She was well loved and will be deeply missed.
Friends will be received on Friday November 4, 2022 from 2 to 4PM and 6 to 8PM at the H.P. Brandt Funeral Home 1032 Perry Hwy Pittsburgh PA 15237. A Mass of Christian Burial will occur on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at 11:30 AM at Incarnation of The Lord Church, 4071 Franklin Road, Pittsburgh, Pa 15214. Please meet at the funeral home at 10AM. Burial to follow at Christ Our Redeemer Cemetery
