Mary Grace Carmody

Age 44, of Sewickley, passed away following a tragic accident, on Friday, September 6, 2013. Beloved daughter of Janet M. and the late Michael J. Carmody; loving sister of Sean J. (Rhoda) and Paul M. (Julia) Carmody; aunt of Caitlin, Erin, Allena, Sophia, and Michael Carmody; Godmother of Karley and Shane Messenger; also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, and her faithful dog, Matty Grace. Mary Grace was a member of the North Boroughs Rotary, she was actively involved with event planning for the Wounded Warriors Project, Breast Cancer Awareness, and the Pittsburgh Steelwheelers, also she worked with the seniors at the Avalon YMCA. Mary Grace was the restaurant manager and event planner at Sunny Jim's Tavern. She enjoyed travel and spending time with her nieces, nephews, and Godchildren. Friends will be received on Monday and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the H. P. BRANDT FUNERAL HOME, INC., 1032 Perry Hwy., Ross Twp., 412-364-4444. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in Sts. John and Paul Church on Wednesday at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pennsylvania Association for the Blind or the Western Pennsylvania School For The Blind.
