My deepest sympathy to Joe’s family. So many great times and memories going through high school with Joe and David. 

Watching Joe play the huge double bass Tom drums in marching band was a true sight to see and sound to hear. 

Very sad for your loss and will keep everyone in my thoughts and prayers.

My condolences to the Joe Barron family.  Joe was such a caring, generous, so-loved-life person.  I respected his wisdom and intelligence.  He had a heartfelt smile and laugh which was  always welcomed. He will be greatly missed.

I’m so sorry to hear of this sudden loss of Joe, who I always thought of as the gentle giant. I worked for Joe at Teleprobe, from 83 to 90, my first “real” job out of college. I learned so much from Joe, who honed me into the successful troubleshooting technician I became, and then so much more. Joe created the most amazing cutting edge automated test fixtures back then, from scratch, that were microprocessors based. After I left Teleprobe and went to work for a much larger company, I saw that all their production test fixtures were far inferior to what Joe created years before. Jobs come and go, and companies move, but Joe wins the title as my favorite boss of all time!! And more importantly, he headed an all American all-star family for sure. Such a loss…

Note: Unfortunately I’m not going to make his service on Monday. My wife’s mother is deathly ill in a nursing home nearby and any day could be her time. While my wife can’t travel far at this time, she also prefers me, with my own health challenge, to not make the long drive by myself. This relieves her of one more extra worry.

To Joe’s Family –

I was sad to hear about Joe's sudden death. I did not know him well, but I had the opportunity to work with him over the past three years. I always felt Joe was a pro. He had a sharp grasp of the business and marketing strategies. He was positive. He listened.  He was professional. He was someone you wanted to work with. Please accept my sincerest sympathies during this difficult time. I will miss working with Joe.

I am deeply saddened by the passing of Joe Barron, a dedicated leader and esteemed mentor to me. His unwavering commitment and passion were truly inspiring. Joe will be profoundly missed, and my thoughts are with his family during this difficult time.

Joe Barron was a wonderful man.  He was smart, kind, aware, and, above all, ebullient; that word was invented for Joe Barron.

Joe was good company in all settings, but he really shined in the world of technology.  He had an interest in everything.  His curiosity led him to be well-read on countless topics.  He was fearless entering conversations with some of the brightest people in technology; what he didn't know he wanted to learn and was willing to expose ignorance if necessary.

Joe was such a special addition to Mitsubishi Electric.  He changed our company.  Following his leadership, our local company evolved from looking to our parent corporation for next products and technologies to combing the world for the next.  His impact is permanent. 

Joe was so proud of his family and easily shared their successes; Eileen and Joseph as accomplished artists and Heather as a distinguished Engineer.  He would gush when talking about them.

I already miss Joe so much, especially the intellectual stimulation that came with his conversations.  My condolences to his family and all of his friends.

My sincerest condolences to the Barron family. I knew Joe from work for the better part of a year and a half with our offices next to each other, but he was one to make you feel like you always knew him. He was very genuine and someone who always took the opportunity to share loving comments about his family. I will miss our impromptu discussions on woodworking, trains, business strategy, and family.

I first met Joe in 2014 when he joined MEPPI as the new Director of Corporate Development and as my new boss, but over the next decade, he would go on to become a true mentor & friend to me. He was very much loved & will be truly missed.

Joe was an exceptionally good friend of mine.  We met in 2000 at work, where we officed next to each other.  We hit it off right away, and for the next 24 years we worked together at many different places and in different roles.  Those situations and roles were insignificant to our lasting friendship.

Joe, with his big voice, was always heard.  His laugh was one of my favorite things.  We always found ways to talk about life, career, and family.  When we were together, the conversations lasted.

Joe’s family was always particularly close to his heart.  For them, I am deeply sorry.  For them, they deserve more time with Joe.  I know Joe was just getting to his retirement years, and the plans he had with his wife and family.  I know how proud he was of his children and their lives.

May his family find a small measure of comfort in knowing he thought and spoke and put them first always.  I will miss my friend beyond measure.  The next crossroad we meet will have to be in another place.

Very sorry to hear about Joe's passing. Very much enjoyed working with him at FORE, Marconi and occasionally in start-up consulting. Gone to soon. May Christ be closer to you know and in the coming weeks than ever before.

My condolences to the family. Sorry for your loss. It was a shock to hear the news as we saw him at our recent Fall Sales meeting in September where he announced he was going to retire at the end of the year.  I did not have the opportunity to work closely with Joe, but our paths did cross a few times. Joe was always courteous and full of energy. Well, Joe may you rest in peace, and you will be missed.

Joe was my boss for a time, but also became a very good friend.  He was kind and smart and funny and compassionate.  I learned so much from him - not just about our industry - but about life.  He loved his life and his work, but most of all his wife and son and daughter and family.  I will remember Joe so fondly, and my heart is broken at this loss that was too soon!  My love to Joe's family.  My heart is with you all.
