John E. Seidel

John E. Seidel, age 52 of Shaler Township, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 16, 2019. Loving husband of 22 years to Darcy "Dee" B. (Trunzer) Seidel; devoted father of Stacy Riles ( husband Brandon); Stephanie (husband Shawn) Barns; proud Pappy of Emmett Barns, Haleigh and Waylon Riles; son of Blanche "Mum" Seidel and the late John G. Seidel; brother of Tanya (husband Robert) Maggs, Tammy (husband Stephen) Honick, uncle of Ashley Maggs, Amber and Josh Honick; son-in-law of Sherol and the late John Trunzer; brother-in-law of Wendy (former husband Raymond) Baysura, Gregg Trunzer; Uncle of Ryan, Andrew and Molly Baysura. John is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and devoted friends. Family and friends will be received 6-8pm Wednesday and 2-4 & 6-8 pm Thursday at the H.P. Brandt Funeral Home, Inc., 1032 Perry Highway, Ross Township, (412-364-4444), where funeral services will be held Friday at 11 am.

John was a member of the IBEW Local 1919 for the past 30 years and became the Union Organizer/Vice President. John also belonged to the Masonic Order, North Hills Lodge #716 F & AM. Johnny started to work at an early age for his uncle's tree and shrub business. He will always be remembered for the fun trips to Gus and Yia Yia's for ice balls. His love of music, his humor and his knowledge of computers will be remembered by all.
