John A. Fleming

John A. Fleming, 84 of Franklin Park, passed away on Saturday July 21, 2012; son of the late John and Martha (Ford) Fleming; beloved husband of the late Margaret “Jen” (Sarver) Fleming; loving father of Charles A. Fleming (Shirl Marks) and Denise M. (Eric J.) Nuss; proud grandfather of John Charles (Meggan) Fleming and Julie Ann Fleming (Charlie Schweizer); great grandfather of Lucie Christine Fleming.

Prior to his retirement, John worked as a telephone installer for over 30 years with Bell Telephone. He was a lifelong member of the Fairmount Presbyterian Church where he sang in the choir and was a Deacon. He was a longtime member of the North Hills Barbershop Group and was also a member of the Kids of the 30’s quartet. He was a member of the F&AM Masons; the Millvale Sportsman’s Club and was a proud Veteran of the United States Army having served in Korea. He will be sadly missed by all whose lives he touched.

Friends will be received Monday from 7-9 pm and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm in the H.P. Brandt Funeral Home, Inc, 1032 Perry Hwy, Ross Twp., 412-364-4444 where a funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11am.
