Christina M. Davis, age 50, of Ross Twp., passed away on Tuesday, September 1, 2020. Born on November 23, 1969 in Fayetteville, NC she was the daughter of Col. (Ret) Gaylerd and Joan (Bryson) Davis of Taylors, SC. In addition to her parents she is survived by her daughter Jessica (Welka) Kiefer and her husband Kyle Kiefer, by her son Joshua Welka all of Ross Twp.; and by her brother Robert Davis and his wife Jennifer Baker of Taylors, SC.
Christina was very proud to call herself an “army brat” and grew up moving with her parents to many different posts in the US and abroad. She made lasting friendships in every place with her outgoing, kind and giving personality. After several years of employment as a care giver at local nursing homes Christina became a house mom devoted to her children. She was an avid sports fan, loved nature, and animals. She was an active volunteer and organizer of events to support school and community sports programs.
The family wishes to give special thanks to the staff of the Fourth Floor Hillman transplant unit and the staff of Six West, Shadyside Hospital for their wonderful care of Christina during her illness. Their kindness and love will never be forgotten.
A celebration of life service will be on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at the H.P. Brandt Funeral Home Inc., 1032 Perry Hwy. Friends will be received from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 to be followed by a private service.
