Katherine LeBlanc Landry, daughter of the late Murphy “Pote” and Icy “Nice” Rousseau LeBlanc, was born on September 2, 1946. Katherine was called home on Thursday, December 27, 2018, at the age of 72. A native of Grand Bayou and a resident of Pierre Part, LA, she married Lee James Landry on January 9, 1965 and raised two sons and a daughter. She was a 1964 graduate of Assumption High School and truly cherished her classmates. Katherine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend to many. The loves of her life were her husband, three children, ten grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren: Craig (Joni) Landry, Kip (Lana) Landry, and Rhea (Brent) Blanchard, Chelsie (Trent) Dinino, Shelbi (Michael) and Lexie Landry, Halley, Benton and Ava Blanchard, Natalie, John Paul, Sarah, and Sophie Landry, Kynler and Kohen Dinino, and Reese Oubre. She was a loving sister to one brother, Murphy “Greg” LeBlanc, and one sister, Karen LeBlanc Adams. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and in laws whom she loved deeply. Always the life of any party, Kathy will be greatly missed by everyone she knew. Katherine is preceded in death by her parents, Pote and Nice Roussseau LeBlanc, father and mother-in-law, Benoit and Selma Pipsair Landry, grandparents, Marcelin and Adele Dupre Rousseau and Emile and Florence Richard LeBlanc. A memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 from 10 am until 11:45 am at Ourso Funeral Home, Pierre Part. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at St. Joseph the Worker Church, Pierre Part at noon, Rev. Al Davidson officiating. Entombment will follow services in the church mausoleum. Katherine and her family wish to thank the doctors and staff of the Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center at Terrebonne General Hospital for their wonderful care and support.
