Gail was born on September 19, 1945, to Eves and Mary St. Germain. She grew up in Paincourtville, LA, was a resident of Pierre Part, LA, and graduated from Assumption High School in Napoleonville, LA.
She was the heart and soul of her family, a devoted mother, wife, and grandmother whose life revolved around the happiness and well-being of her loved ones. Her endless love, selflessness, and affection knew no limits. She dedicated her days to nurturing her family, always putting her husband, daughter, and triplet grandchildren at the center of her world. Whether it was while playing with the triplets, watching football games with her husband, attending her daughter’s dance recitals, or visiting with her family, Gail was the brightest light in the room, always cracking a joke at just the right time. Gail's warm smile and comforting embrace were a constant source of strength and a testament to her unending love. Gail's love will continue to guide her loved ones, and her presence will forever be felt in the laughter, love, and unity that she instilled in her family.
She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Davis Blanchard; only child, Stacey Blanchard Ricks (Gregory); triplet grandchildren, Emily Malter, Lance Malter, and Luke Malter; one brother, Floyd "Buckwheat" St. Germain (Josephine); three sisters: Geraldine "Gerry" or "Jay" Malone, Lois Olivier, and Marcy Thibodeaux (Craig); and mother-in-law, Edith “Deet” Blanchard. She is preceded in death by her parents, Eves and Mary St. Germain, and her father-in-law, Wilbert “Meat” Blanchard.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Ourso Funeral Home in Pierre Part, LA, on Monday, September 18, 2023, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. A mass of Christian burial will follow the visitation at St. Joseph the Worker Church at 11:00 am in Pierre Part, LA, followed by the burial in the church cemetery.
