Doris Richard Landry

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Her most cherished days were cooking and spending time with her family. She will be remembered by her feisty attitude and always taking up for what was right. She had a giving soul and opened her home up to those in need.

She leaves behind to cherish in her memory her three children; Lena Crochet (Reed), Dennis "Denny" Landry, Jr (Bonnie) and Jena Aucoin (Rusty); Ten grandchildren, Jacob Crochet, Trisha Barbier (Benny), Sara Crochet, Dustin Landry (Meagan), Angele Sons (Ronnie), Brock Pipsair, Chaz Pipsair (Sydni), Michael Ourso (Alyssa), Rylee Aucoin, and Avree Aucoin; 12 great grandchildren; Two sisters Brenda Gros McCarthy (the late, Leonard) and Linda Gros McCarthy (Philip); a dear friend who was like a sister, Edna Landry (Jerry).

She is preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Landry, Sr., two daughters Donna Landry Ourso and Lisa Marie Landry, her parents Lena Gros (Russell) and Murphy Richard and one brother, Melvin Richard (Violet).

A visitation will be held at Ourso Funeral Home in Pierre Part, LA on Saturday, July 29, 2023 from 8:30am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11am at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church with an interment to follow in the church mausoleum.

The family would like to extend their deepest appreciation and thanks to her special caregivers, Joy Duet and Gail Cavalier and the caregivers at Chateau D’ville.
