He served as a baker in the Army along with being a dairy farmer. Then working with Oconee County running a mowing tractor until retirement, but most of all, he was the world's best Husband, Father and papa who enjoyed giving advice and supervising many of the family's projects or anything else they needed.
Vernon is survived by his wife Ella “Eller” and his children: Glenn Eddleman (Chris), Tammy Hendricks (Joe), Kenneth Eddleman (Lynn) and Rebecca Bingham. Grandchildren: Lee, James, Brittany, Bridget, Josie, Hope, Heather, Tevin, Chelsey, Jaxon and Tommy. Great-Grandchildren: Valerie, Ryder, Weston, Waylon, Vince, Tobias, Paisleigh, Gunner, Kimber, Jaylen, Hunter, Nova and Colton.
Services will be held at Gap Hill Baptist Church 127 Gap Hill rd., Six mile SC 29682 on Wednesday the 6th. Receiving friends and family will begin at 1 pm and the service at 2 pm. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Cannon Mountain Baptist Church will be serving a meal in their fellowship hall following the Burial at 302 Woodlane Dr., Pickens SC 29671.
