Norma was born in Volga, Iowa to the late Charles Zenda and Grace Lowe Potter.
Norma was actively involved in spreading the love of Jesus, distributing Religious Tracts in 11 different Countries and almost every State in the US; at age 75 she was able to smuggle Bibles into China. Norma was well known for wearing hats with sayings about Jesus, she also used her God given talents to play the piano and sing in nursing homes in her community. She was a taxidermist, enjoyed traveling, especially her trip to Israel, and was active in Missionaries to the Preborn. She fell in love with Jesus at 45 years old while living in her beloved town of Sedona, Arizona.
Norma is survived by nine of her ten children Lester Vondra (Julie), Barbara Ballard (Bill), Donna Vondra, Daryl Vondra, Diane "Annie" Toro (Sal), Kathy Smith (Donnie), Lon Vondra (Nancy), Pat Vondra (Bev), and Jeanne Byers (Dale); 23 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; and five great great grandchildren.
Norma is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 63 years Don Vondra; parents; son Bernie Vondra (Kathy); daughter-in-law Debbie Vondra; son-in-law Michael Smith; two brothers Danny Potter (Lois), and Richard Potter (Joyce).
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Brushy Creek Baptist Church, 100 Clay St, Easley, SC 29642.
She will be laid to rest on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at 11:00 am in Saint Andrews Cemetery, Tennyson, Wisconsin. A reception will follow at Lancaster Congregational Church, Lancaster, WI.
