Mr. Franklin Ernest Kelley

Born in Pickens County, he was the son of the late Cleo Kelley and Mattie Merck. Mr. Kelley was owner of Kelley Builders of Six Mile and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was the former assistant chief of Six Mile Fire Department and volunteered for Habitat for Humanity. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family. Mr. Kelley was a member of Ridgeland Drive Baptist Church.

He is survived by his three sons, Greg Kelley (Debbie) of Six Mile, Terry Kelley (Lisa) of Soddy Daisy, TN and Roger Kelley (Teressa) of Liberty; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two siblings, Woodrow Kelley (Sharon) and Linda Rogers (Bob), both of Six Mile.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 6, from 6-8pm at Dillard Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 7, at 10am at Dillard Funeral Home with burial to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park and Gardens.

The Senior Men’s Class of Ridgeland Drive and Six Mile Fire Department will serve as Honorary Escorts.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Building Maintenance Fund of Ridgeland Drive Baptist Church, PO Box 208, Six Mile, SC 29682.
