He was retired from Ryobi Motor Products in Pickens and later worked in real estate. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. Following his retirement, Mr. Cantrell loved to travel both out west and to the mountains. He was a U. S. Army veteran.
Survivors include a brother, Willie T. Cantrell of Moncks Corner, SC and nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Cantrell was preceded in death by a sister, Mathree Warren, a brother, Lloyd Cantrell, and a niece, Linda Warren.
The family will receive friends Monday, November 9, 2015 from 12:30 to 2 PM in the mausoleum chapel of Hillcrest Memorial Park and Gardens with a funeral service following at 2 PM with The Reverend Barry Pace and The Reverend Roger Todd officiating. Entombment will follow.
