Mrs. Reece was born on October 10, 1938 in Pine Mountain, Georgia to the late James Brack and Daniel Love Rochester Wood. Throughout her life, she was a dedicated wife and mother, and her motherly instincts allowed her to instill love and care for everyone she met. Mrs. Reece loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and in her free time she enjoyed swinging on her front porch, traveling with the senior citizen group, going to dances, and clogging. She was also most famous for her "Go Plate" philosophy, which was to take a plate home from every restaurant she ate at to share with her loving dog and companion, Pretty Girl. Mrs. Reece retired from Ryobi and loved the mountains. She loved Hunt's Memorial Baptist Church in Easley, where she was a longtime member.
Mrs. Reece is survived by her two daughters: Cheryl Denise Reece of Central and Lynn Reece Taylor (Steve) of Easley; a son: Albert Alvin Reece, Jr. (Judy) of Liberty; nine grandchildren: Crystal Reece Morgan, Chad Reece, Wanda Rollins, Timothy Simpson, Alvin Simpson, Stephanie Taylor, Toy Morris, Twyla Harrelson, and Wayne Taylor; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
In addition to her loving husband and her parents, Mrs. Reece was preceded in death by a daughter: Cynthia Hooker.
