Pickens, SC - Mrs. Dora Mae Stewart Lark, 94, of Pickens, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 10, 2021. She was born on January 31, 1926 in Pickens, South Carolina to the late Early and Sarah Parsons Stewart. She was a devoted, loving wife to her husband of 67 years, the late Furman Milford Lark.
Her family and her faith were the two most important things to her and she demonstrated those daily in the selfless way she lived her life. She was a loving Christian wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her son: Sam S. Lark (Melody) of Pickens; two granddaughters: Lindsay Lark Jackman (Chris) of Greenville, South Carolina and Ashley Lark of Pickens; five great grandchildren: Malachi, Rosie, Noah, Larkyn and Dax; and her brother: Garvin Stewart (Mozelle) of Pickens. She was predeceased by her loving husband, her parents, and her son: James Milford Lark. She was a member of Pickens First Baptist Church.
The family would like to offer sincere gratitude and appreciation to the staff of Manna Healthcare for the love and care they provided in her final years of life.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Due to the current COVID-19 Pandemic, masks will be required to attend the services and social distancing will be observed at the cemetery. No formal visitation is planned.
