It is with great sadness that the family of Cynthia Dawn Taylor announces her passing after a two year battle with cancer. She went to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday June 7, 2018 at her home in Easley.
Born in Aldridge, the west midlands of England, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Eugenia Butler. Raised in England, Cynthia, together with her family, immigrated to the USA in 1982 and she became a US citizen in 1992. After moving within the United States, the family settled in Easley, South Carolina in 1996.
Cynthia was an active member of St. Andrew United Methodist Church, serving in many way though Care Ministries, Prayer Shawl Ministries, Ladies Circle and many others. She touched the lives of many and will always be remembered for her kind and selfless nature.
Cynthia is survived by her husband Dr. Roy Taylor, three children; mark, Jeremy and Ruth and seven grandchildren; Davina, Nicolas, Isiah, Martin, Lucas, Andre’ and Candace, and her brother Ian who resides in England.
A memorial service to celebrate Cynthia’s life will be held at St. Andrew United Methodist Church on Saturday June 23, 2018 at 2 pm.
Memorial donations may be sent in her honor to the American Cancer Society in hopes of finding a cure for this terrible disease.
