Pickens, SC - Mrs. Carolyn Fay Brown Bolding, 77, passed away on Friday, December 22, 2023 at her home.

Carolyn was born on October 3, 1946 in Pickens, South Carolina to the late Charles and Maxie Causby Brown. She enjoyed word searches, reading, and listening to gospel music. Carolyn was always ready to go fishing, and would enjoy any opportunity she had to go. She attended Mountain View Baptist Church.

Mrs. Bolding is survived by her four children: Kris Clark (Brandy), Derrick Clark, Robin Smith (Kirby), and Shannon Simmons (Tim); 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one brother: Edward Brown.

In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her loving husband: Samuel Bolding; one daughter: Justine Stepson; one brother: Pastor John Brown; and one daughter-in-law: Donna Clark.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 in the Chapel of Dillard Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 11:45 AM prior to the service.
