Andy Melvin Austin

Andy was born in Ila, Georgia on January 19, 1940 to the late Wylie and Mary Elizabeth Austin. He loved being outdoors and working in his garden. Andy was a Clemson fan and enjoyed talking to people. He was a member of Jones Avenue Baptist Church.

Mr. Austin is survived by his loving wife of 59 years: Patsy Freeman Austin; one son: David Austin; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Andy is preceded in death by three brothers: William Austin, Robert Austin, and J.B. Vaughn; three sisters: Susie Cobb, Minnie Arnold Turner, and Edna McIntire.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Thursday, July 7, 2022 in the Chapel of Dillard Funeral Home with interment to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Pickens.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 1:45 PM on Thursday, prior to the service, at Dillard Funeral Home.
