Mr. Willie Nathan Elder was born in Dozier, Alabama December 4, 1930. Willie was the oldest of ten children of Nathan and Lula Elder. He married the “Love Of His Life” Rosienell Wright September 12, 1970. Willie was an airman of the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Most of his life he worked as a Construction worker. Several jobs that he worked on were, The Hoover Dam, The Nuclear Plant and numerous other buildings and pipelines in the States of Arizona and Nevada.
Mrs. Rosienell Wright-Elder was born in Thomasville, Alabama February 12, 1939. She was the youngest of thirteen children of the late Reverend and Mrs. John Wright. Her marriage to Willie in 1970 brought the union of a daughter Bernadette Elder, who was called to Heaven in May of 1993.
Mrs. Rosienell Elder was always ready to help others, cook, listen, comfort, in which she did with love from her heart. Mrs. Elder always welcomed you with a hug and a smile on her face. She welcomed all relatives, friends, and all persons that came in contact with her were always made to feel welcomed and at home.
Willie and Rosienell were preceded in death by their parents and their beloved daughter Bernadette Elder. Rosienell was also preceded in death by her sisters. Willie was also preceded in death by his sister Nellie Jean and brother James. They leave to mourn their “Precious” Granddaughter Kasharail Elder, and Great-Grandson Carrail. Her son-in-law Charles Blevins. Grandchildren Telisa, Darrel, and Felicia. Great-Grand children King, Marquese.
Roseienell leaves her son Johnie (Arlene), Little Bernadette, and Shawn of Alabama, brothers, Lennie and Walter Wright of Detroit, Michigan. Willie Leaves his sisters Ida Elder, Lula B. Elder, Tommie King, Louise Blissett of Niagara Falls, NY. Versie (Jimmy) Davis of Atlanta, GA. Jeff Elder of Dozier, Alabama and Willie (Vivian) Elder of Vacaville, CA.
Both leave a host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and Dear Friends to rejoice over their “Homegoing” to be with our Lord God.
Today we lay to rest our dear Willie and Rosienell after sharing 50 years together. We rejoice as they go to the place God has prepared for them for eternity.
