Nana was born in Tennessee, raised by her grandparents for years on the Mississippi River. She picked cotton and worked in a restaurant putting herself through high school. She was so determined to succeed in life, she graduated high school in only 3 years. In her last year of high school she met the love of her life (Charles) and they married in Oceola, Arkansas. After flood water over came the crops, they proceeded to Phoenix, AZ with their 2 daughters to start a new life in August 1958.
She loved bingo and going to the ocean. She loved Holidays with the grandkids and any moment she could spend with family. Nana loved going out for coffee and Belgian waffles. She loved Richard’s omelets at home (Not to mention her chocolates!!) and loved making her cherry cheesecake.
Mom/Nana was the rock of our family and dedicated every moment she could to us.
She was truly loved and will be missed by us all.
