Born in Ashkum, Illinois, he was the son of the late Mrs. Gladys Hardy and Mr. Hayden H. Hardy. He left Illinois at the age of 22 with a wife and 3 children to raise his family in Phoenix, Arizona.
Ron had a great work ethic, in which he enthusiastically instilled into his daughters, was well known for his kindness, guidance and fairness to his employees. Ron retired from Central Arizona Distributing, Co., as the Warehouse Foreman with over 40 years of dedicated service.
Ron loved fishing and hunting with his buddies and was well known as the camp cook. He would spend days preparing his meals and planning them to make sure everyone had everything they needed. He loved wood working and enjoyed a Black Russian every summer evening in his pool.
Most important to him was his five daughters. He was a loving father who made sure his family stayed close, even if they were miles apart. He showed the importance of love, caring and kindness to each other.
Surviving are his daughters, Debra L. Nittiskie, Phoenix, AZ, Rhonda L. Hlad, Phoenix, AZ, Linda L. Field, Phoenix, AZ, Deanna L. McMahon, Hercules, CA, and Sherry L. Zastawny, New Hartford, NY. Son-in-Law, Gary E. Zastawny, 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Preceding Him were Son-in-Laws Vincent Nittiskie and Jim Field.
