Robert (Bob) L. Ward was born to Mary Alice (Walker) and Louie Ernest Ward on November 11, 1944, in El Dorado, Arkansas. Bob survived by his wife of 44 years, Jaquetta, his sons, Shayne, and Robbie, 4 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren, one niece, and one great nephew. He was preceded in death by both parents, his daughters Beth and Nicole, his son Scott, and his sister Ann.
Bob was a truck driver for over fifty years most of which he was an owner/operator. He started his trucking career in Prescott, Arizona driving for Kelly Moving and Storage. He loved the road and the freedom it gave him.
Bob lived most of his life in Arizona between Winslow, Prescott, and Phoenix. He did take an adventure to Alaska where he stayed for two years but Arizona was always home.
Bob was not an avid fisherman but loved to go to the lakes and enjoy the boat and the weather and if he caught a fish, that was a bonus. He was the happiest when he saw those he cared for catch a fish.
If you knew Bob you knew he was a serious person, didn’t care for crowds or too much celebration of things and kept his feelings to himself. He always wanted to visit with folks but not for long…maybe you got an hour, maybe two. The highlights of his visits that brought him joy as a proud papa, watching his granddaughter, Kyla play ball, playing with the Dude, Ralph, and getting William to smile by making funny noises.
He will be missed and touched the lives of many who were close to him.
