Nancy Teutsch was born in the town of Wellington, Texas to Ella Jeanette Bowling and Floyd Forse Teutsch on January 23, 1957. She attended elementary school in Dodson, Texas and Junior and Senior High Schools in Plainview, Texas graduating in 1975. She married Randall Chennault on July 30, 1977. She worked as a beautician and barber for several years, after the birth of her children she devoted all her time to raising them and serving as the matriarch of the family. She was always active, socially, in their lives. She served as president of the parent teacher organization and was a Girl Scout Troop leader. After her children were grown, she spent her days as a caregiver for a number of older family members.
Nancy had many joys in life. First and foremost was her love for others as evidenced by her nurturing and caring nature. She always shared more than she received. She also had a passion for animals. In her younger years she had horses and raised Dalmatians, Queenie was her favorite. After her son watched the movie “Milo and Otis”, she raised Pug Dogs. She delivered three litters of puppies from Otis (son Guy’s) and Missy (daughter Malia’s). From the last litter she kept “Shiny Buttons”, because he chewed on the buttons on her blouse while being held, for herself. Her favorite collectibles were Precious Moments, Pug Dog memorabilia and anything Pillsbury Doughboy.
Nancy is preceded in death by her son, Guy Floyd Chennault; her parents, Floyd and Jeanette Teutsch; her in-laws, Guy and Halva Chennault; two brothers, Glenn Hunt and Mike Teutsch; four brothers-in-laws, Guy Herman Chennault, Charlie Westbrook, Jimmy Chennault and Bennie Jones.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Randall; her daughter, Malia; one brother, Ronald Teutsch; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Westbrook and Sue Jones; many nieces and nephews; and the one she (MeeMaw) cherished most at the time of her passing, her grandson Ryan Guy Webb Denney.
The family suggests, in lieu of flowers, that donations in her name be sent to The American Cancer Society, The American Heart Association, Phoenix Children’s Hospital or the donors’ organization of choice.
