First and foremost; my heart goes out to Erika and the boys, my Tia Margie, my cousins Tina, Shorty and Trish and all the rest of the extended family members, I love you all!!

THIS LOSS IS DEVASTATING!!!

Mico was not only my cousin, but my brother too.  I was older than Mico by about 5 years and growing up, we were always together.  From playing basketball in my Tio & Tia's backyard, to staying up all night playing video games, watching the Braves on T.V., riding bikes, swimming, it didn't matter because he was right there by my side.  I took Mico with me just about everywhere that I went, like to the car shows, to go eat or just hanging out with my homies (Santos & Sapo) shown in the picture.  

A few weeks ago, I asked Mico what his favorite song was and he sent me a song called "Be Alright" by Evan Craft.  He said this song helped him during his journey.  I had never heard it until he sent it to me.  It is such a beautiful song, and I will always play this song in his memory

My most sincerest condolences to the Vasquez family. The news of Mico's illness and death is heartbreaking. I worked with Mico at both Camelback and South, and he was always such a great person to be around.  I'll always remember and hold dear to my heart the fun times we had at work.  I'm truly saddened by Mico's passing but I am at peace with the fact that him and his dad are together again.  My love and prayers go out to the entire Vasquez family.

This was the squad. Hanging out at school,  playing basketball during lunch hour. We became friends because we all shared the love for the game. We used to run the courts at Encanto Park, and throughout the west valley.  The tournaments we would win.The 3on3s at downtown phx we won 4yrs in a row. It was fun when we all would go party you would help me with my DJ equipment. We kept in touch for a few years after high school, but lost touch as we went our seprate ways to start our lives becoming men and starting our families. Thank you for being apart of our lives,you were a great friend and even a better person.  Rest easy bro, will forever keep the memories in my heart.

I spent a lot of time in my younger years playing basketball with Mico.. First time I ever seen him was in a Boys and Girls Club in Phoenix.. The tallest Hispanic guy I have ever seen. He just picked up a ball and walked to the other side of the court and ran up and jumped from the free throw line and slammed it down like it was nothing.. It was unbelievable!!! I’ve never seen a person do that before. He could even handle the rock. I wanted to be just like him. He was one of the most humble persons I’ve ever met in my life. And I’m so heartbroken he’s no longer on this earth. He will be missed forever. 

My handsome cousin, love you very much and I’ll miss you! Our mom’s are always saying we do the same things without us even knowing like not go to work same days, buying a Jeep at the same time and it happens to be white, love it!! ❤️ God has received a very special angel 😘
