Sis. Randle was married to Rev. Henry B. Randle for 51 years, until his death in 2005. Rev. Randle was the pastor and founder of Victory Missionary Baptist Church in Phoenix, AZ. In addition to being Victory’s First Lady, church pianist, choir director, bible study teacher, Sunday School teacher and superintendent, she was also a dutiful member and pianist for the Zion Rest and Mount Zion District Associations, the General Missionary Baptist State Convention of Arizona and the Ministers’ Wives and Widows Auxiliary, the State Chorus, and the State Senior Mission II Auxiliary, where she is Musician Emeritus. Sis. and Rev. Randlewere known for representing the General Missionary Baptist State Convention of Arizona at the National Missionary Baptist Convention of America, where they would “tear up the church” singing and preaching the Gospel.
After 21 years of service, Sis. Randle retired from the Veteran’s Administration in 1990. She was a loyal Phoenix Suns, Arizona Cardinals, Oklahoma Sooners, and Los Angeles Dodgers fan. She was also an avid bowler, who organized youth and adult leagues at Squaw Peak Bowling Alley for many years.
Sis. Randle will be fondly remembered by her two daughters: Jeanette Strong and Rita Turner; grandchildren: Tina Washington, Paul Caldwell, Jr., Elyse Oliver, and Tela Turner; brother: Alford Green of Wichita, KS, as well as Godchildren: Carolyn Wesley and Tiffany Glass; a host of great grandchildren, and Christian friends across the country. Her husband, mother, father, brother Roosevelt Thomas, and grandson Curtis Turner, Jr. all preceded her in death.
