Mary Murillo

Mary M. Murillo passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 17, 2019 in Glendale, AZ at the age of 92. Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Manuel C. Murillo, sisters Laura, Aurelia, Jenny, Theresa, brother Donald Jr. and her parents Eujlio and Dolores Martinez.

Mary is lovingly remembered by her family: sisters Vivian and Nellie, her children, John, Martha, Ralph, Leonard, Ruben, Susan, Manuel Jr. and Katherine. Not to mention handfuls of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mary made a friend everywhere she went. Therefore, she literally had 100’s of friends that were more like family.

Mary was born on August 15, 1927 in Florence, AZ. She went to school in Phoenix, AZ. She enjoyed many years of employment at Madison Industries as well as various hospitals throughout Phoenix. Her greatest joy was her work was as a homemaker to her husband and children.

Mary immensely enjoyed camping in the White Mountains of Arizona. She spent many vacations camping and fishing with as many family members she could get to go with her. Mary also enjoyed cooking many “cenas” in her kitchen. Her family will never forget her homemade menudo and tamales during the holidays.

Visitation for Mary will be held at A. L. Moore-Grimshaw Mortuary Bethany Chapel located at 710 W Bethany Home Rd Phoenix, AZ 85013 on Thursday, November 21, 2019 at 5:30pm. Rosary will follow the viewing at 6:30pm.

Funeral services for Mary will be held at St. Simon and Jude Cathedral on Friday, November 22, 2019 at 10:00am. Burial will follow Mass at St. Francis Cemetery located at 2033 N 48th St, Phoenix, AZ 85008. Reception with family and friends will follow the burial at A.L. Moore-Grimshaw Mortuary Bethany Chapel located at 710 W Bethany Home Rd Phoenix, AZ 85013.
