Mark Andrew Tucker Sr.

Mark Andrew Tucker, 53, of Phoenix, passed away on November 10th at Tempe St. Luke’s. He was born August 20, 1962, at the very same hospital, to Atlee and Grace Tucker. Mark attended St. Catherine of Sienna Catholic School and St. Mary’s High School, where he made many lifelong friends. After high school, Mark became a respiratory therapist and has worked in the health care field for many years. He advanced his career by receiving his certificate as a Sleep Study Technologist and Educator. One of Mark’s proudest accomplishments was when he received his 6-Year Chip. Mark was the chairperson for the Backyard Group meeting every Tuesday. His dedication has been an inspiration to many seeking sobriety. Mark will be remembered for his love of family, love of God and love of AA. He is predeceased by his parents and his brother Robert Tucker. He is survived by his daughters Jennifer Wineman (Tony) and Cassie, his son’s Mark Jr., Matthew, and Christopher, stepson Michael Gazzara, his fiancé Eliza Dutra and his brother Allen (Carmen) and 3 grandchildren. Mark was always a dreamer and young at heart. Visitation will be Thursday, November 19, 2015at 9:00am, followed by services and burial which will be held at Resthaven/Carr-Tenney Mortuary& Memorial Gardens, 4310 E. Southern Ave, Phoenix. Arrangements entrusted to Resthaven/Carr-Tenney Mortuary & Memorial Gardens.
