Hers was a musical family and through the years, she and her four sisters Barbara Rose, Phyllis Rayas, Marjorie Barbee, and Kathleen Olweiler (all deceased) sung for many church services, weddings, and funerals. She moved to Phoenix on July 12,1960 where she taught music and kindergarten for the next 22 years in the Creighton School District. During that time she met and married George Perrone, an engineer (and golfer). Since retiring in 1983 she joined the Maricopa chapter of DAR, became a volunteer for the Salvation Army women's auxiliary and a member of Chapter A, PEO. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, music and genealogy. She is survived by her husband, George, of 56 years, her sisters-in-law, Julie Sheerin and Gail Davis (deceased 2020), her many nieces and nephews, and many great nieces and nephews.
