Maria Teresa Pena

Maria Teresa Pena of Phoenix passed away peacefully on March 23, 2018 with her family by her side at the age of 72. Teresa was born on July 13, 1945 in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico to Dolores Martinez and Luis Priolo. Teresa married the love of her life, Joaquin Pena 47 years ago in 1971. Teresa was a very loving wife, mother, and grandmother. God and her family always came first for her. Teresa will be missed by her family and friends. Teresa is preceded by her parents and her other mother figure, her aunt and Godmother Maria Teresa Alzaga. Teresa is survived by her husband, brother Oscar Martinez, daughter Sylvia Fernandes (John Fernandes and grandkids Elizabeth Ashline (James Ashline), John P Fernandes, and Victoria Fernandes) and her son David Pena (Cindy Ibarra and grandkids Emily Pena and Teresa Pena).

The visitation will be on Monday April 2 from 5 to 6:30 pm. Followed by a rosary and shared memories starting at 6:30 pm at Advantage Funeral Home 6901 West Indian School Road, Phoenix, Az. The graveside service will be on Tuesday April 3 starting at 9:00 am at Advantage Funeral Home followed by the procession to the cemetery leaving at 10:00am to Holy Cross Cemetery, 10045 West Thomas Road, Glendale, Az where she will be laid to rest at the mausoleum around 10:30 am.
