Luis Fernando Mariscal Munoz

Luis Fernando Mariscal Munoz, 29, passed away unexpectedly on May 4, 2016. Luis is survived by his wife (Lisa Mariscal), parents (Maria and Stewart Shaver), siblings (Bryan, Adrian, Jami and Sheridan) and loving pets (Bentley and Kia). Luis was born in Tepic, Mexico on November 1, 1986 to Maria Shaver. He joined the Army in 2006 as a combat medic, shortly after he married his wife Lisa in 2008, right after her high school graduation.

Luis is a man of great accomplishments. He received his US Citizenship in 2009, graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Biochemistry from Arizona State University in 2013, and a Bachelor’s in Medical Laboratory Technology from DeVry University in 2015.

Luis was a devoted husband, son, and brother. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, and spending time with his family and dogs.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday May 12th at Phoenix Memorial Park and Mortuary located at 200 W. Beardsley Rd. Visitation begins at 9am and the service at 11am. Luis will then be transferred to the National Memorial Cemetery of Phoenix for his final salute and burial at 1pm, located at 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd.
